Loose fill rubber is a safe option for playgrounds and athletic fields due to its excellent shock absorption.  Atlantic Surfacing uses rubber loose fill that has the highest shock absorption of any loose fill materials.  Most installations utilize at least six inches of loose filled rubber.

Loose fill rubber is made from ground rubber particles. The loose fill rubber particles are installed in and around the play structure.  

Loose fill rubber can be installed on almost any surface, making the labor to prepare the site for installation minimal.
